The Town of La Conner has initiated our 2008 Comprehensive Plan process and the following proposals have been submitted for consideration this year:

1. Rezone property located at 214 Maple Avenue from Residential to Commercial. This property is owned by Esteban and Gudelia Sanchez and is currently leased to El Gitano Restaurant.
2. Rezone a small triangular section of property located north of Caledonia, between a vacated portion of Second Street and Third Street.  This property is owned by the Town of La Conner and will be rezoned from Industrial to Public Use.
3. Amend the Comprehensive Plan Map to reflect zoning changes, and modify the boundaries of the Urban Growth Area east of the Town.

The Town is in the process of reviewing amendments to the single-family residential dimensional standards.  For detailed information regarding the proposed amendments please click here.  Public hearings are scheduled before the Planning Commission on April 15, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. and before the Town Council on May 13, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.
