Minimum Monthly Service Charges
Water comes from the Skagit River via the Anacortes Water Treatment Plant. Basic residential water customers are billed on a monthly basis. The Consumption (Cons) rate is $0.0783 per cubic foot for all users except those in Shelter Bay, who is charged according to contract. Minimum monthly service charges are as follows:

Senior Citizen and Disabled Persons Utility Rate Discount for Water
La Conner senior citizens 61 years of age or older on December 31 of filing year (no age requirement for disabled persons) may be eligible to receive the Senior Citizen and People with Disabilities Utility Rate Discount for water with Town of La Conner. In order to qualify you must first apply for the Skagit County Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons Exemption Program. The completed form must be provided on or before April 1st. To apply for the tax exemption status, Skagit County now has an online application portal allowing citizens to easily submit their exemption requests anywhere with internet access. You can access the portal using the link below or on the Skagit County Assessor’s website www.skagitcounty.net/assessor. If you believe you might qualify for this exemption program, please apply using the portal, print forms from the website (pdf), or contact the Skagit County Assessor’s office directly at (360)416-1780.
If you currently have a property tax exemption, you may apply for a water utility discount by providing La Conner Town Hall with the Skagit County assessor's form showing the property tax exemption status. Citizens who participate in the property tax exemption program will not be charged the base charges for water and sewer if they apply to the Town.
Hydrant Meter Rates
The monthly base fee is $167.12 plus $1.61 per 100 cubic feet of water used.
Water Service Reconnection
Reconnection of service is $50.00 for all water utility services.
Utility meters are read the last working day of the month. Bills are issued the first week of the month and payments are due by the 15th of the month.

An account is considered delinquent after 60 days. If payment is not made, the property is posted with a 24-hour service termination notice. If payment is still not made, service may be terminated until the account is paid in full. A penalty will be assessed on accounts 45 days delinquent.
